A geek on the streets and a freak beneath the (spread)sheets, Joel's sharp mathematical abilities have earned him the (hotly-contested and highly prestigious) role of Out of the Blue Business Manager. Truthfully Joel landed the position through his sheer physical strength which, far superior to his fellow members', singles him out as the only person who can carry the cashbox and charity buckets.

Joel's sharp mind is matched only by his even sharper tongue. A keen beatboxer from the age of four, Joel's vocal percussion skills have earnt him recognition from his peers, lecturers, Ringo Starr and even Meryl Streep, who reportedly commented: "wow those are such realistic drum sounds that you're making with your mouth truly I am impressed!"

Fishel maintains that, many years ago, his wild rabbit told him he was "destined for greatness, my boy" and, though the provenance of this prophecy remains doubtful, Joel thinks being in Out of the Blue is pretty cool, and certainly better than nothing. Joel would like to thank his rabbit for all of his valuable guidance and advice, which he endeavours to pass on to the group's members through a series of strained anecdotes and pre-gig motivational speeches.
